Membership Information

If you are the parent or guardian of a gifted child in Athens County, please consider becoming a member of the AAGC. Membership is only $15.00 per year (though members may elect to waive the annual fee if they are unable to pay it). Officers and others volunteer their time to the AAGC, so that your dues cover the costs of the mailings that keep you informed about gifted issues, and the costs of club activities – such as Monthly Meetings and other events. The AAGC welcomes your tax-deductible donation of any size.

AAGC Meetings are held every other month, with December and January meetings scheduled to accommodate the public school holiday calendar. All meetings are open (non-member guests are welcome) and include the opportunity to meet other parents of gifted children, share concerns, and exchange resources. Meetings often include speakers and presentations that focus on raising and educating gifted children. We encourage and gratefully accept input, ideas and information from all families.
